FLOOD WARNING FOR RIVER TRENT 05/12/13

We have been advised that some residents living close to the river on Stather Road have received a flood warning alert. This advises caution and a chance of flooding at approximately 8.00 PM TONIGHT due to the high tide.

 

Upon further enquiries with NLC Humber Emergency Department I have been advised there are meetings taking place in Hull this morning involving all the emergency services.  Following this meeting messages may/will be circulated to all members of Burton Upon Stather Parish Council whose contact details are included in the Emergency Plan. This may be by telephone or computer email.

 We have also been advised that should anyone notice the River Trent water flowing over the river bank please contact:

 

 ENVIRONMENT AGENCY INCIDENT HOTLINE: 0800 80 70 60.

 

This hotline is manned 24 hours a day and can deal with your report straight away.

 

 If you see anyone who may be at risk please dial 999.
