The ‘soft opening’ will commence on Monday 7 December 2015.

The actual service is due to open at 9.30 am on Monday 14 December 2015.

Hours of Opening:

Mondays: 9.30 am – 12.30 pm

Wednesdays: 10.00 am – 13.00 pm

Thursdays: 9.30 am – 11.30 am

Services: The same range of services will continue to be available. Customers can still collect benefits in cash using the everyday banking services of Post Office card account.

Access and Facilities: The premises will hae access via a ramp, with wide door. Internally there will be a hearing loop and space for a wheelchair.

Transport/Parking: Roadside parking is available outside the premises.

Route: The premises are located approximately 160 meters from the previous service along varied terrain.

The Post Office is starting a 6 week local public consultation and would like you to tell them what you think about the suitability of the proposed new location and new service. Before they finalise their plans, they would really like to hear your views on this proposal particularly on the following areas:

  • How suitable you think the new location and premises are?
  • Do you have any comments on the proposed days and opening hours?
  • How easy is it to get there?
  • Are the new premises easy for you to get into and is the inside easily accessible?
  • If so, do you have any suggestions that could help them make it better for you?
  • Are there any local community issues which you think could be affected by the proposed move?
  • Is there anything you particularly about the proposed change?

Any information they receive will be considered as they finalise their plans for the new service.
